Harrods bear have been bringing joy and laughter to customers for more than a century. The Harrods company archive shows that Harrods first bears were sold in 1906, with the traditional jointed toys listed in that year’s Harrods catalogue.

In 1921, writer AA Milne bought a Harrods bear for a little boy, his son Christopher Robin. That bear turned out to be the inspiration for the timeless Winnie-the-Pooh stories.

Over the years, the buying of a Harrods bear has created memorable moments for many, and the bears have become sought-after collectables, loved and treasured by all who own them.
